Came Before

Music B4 the Oldies is dedicated to the recordings that preceded what most people call "the classics" — the jazz standards, big band swing, early rhythm and blues, and forgotten gems that shaped everything that came after.

Saturday Morning Dance Party was Bill Salmi's labor of love — a weekly program on WEAK FM dedicated to the music of his generation and the generations before him. He believed older adults deserved a station that spoke their language, and he kept that commitment going year after year. With an estimated 150 broadcasts preserved on CD, his work outlasted the airwaves it was built for. This page exists to make sure it reaches the audience he always had in mind.
